The Lions Club of Pokhara Dolphins successfully organized an environmental initiative. We recently hosted our Fruit Tree Plantation and Maintenance Program. This green project aimed to promote local sustainability and protect nature. Our members gathered to plant a wide variety of fruit-bearing trees in the community.
Under the active guidance of our club leadership, volunteers prepared the soil carefully. We chose specific locations that would benefit most from urban forestry. This drive did not just focus on planting saplings. We also emphasized a strict long-term maintenance plan to ensure the survival of every tree.
Environmental Sustainability and Care
As Lions, protecting the environment is one of our primary global causes. Deforestation and climate change require immediate local action. Therefore, this Pokhara Lions Tree Plantation drive was designed to make a lasting ecological impact. The fruit trees will provide fresh oxygen, improve soil quality, and offer organic fruits to the public.
During the event, club members installed protective guards around the young saplings. We also assigned dedicated volunteer teams to manage regular watering schedules. Experts from our club shared valuable insights on proper pruning techniques. They also explained how to use organic fertilizers to protect the trees from local pests.
Working Together for a Greener Tomorrow
A successful environmental project requires great teamwork and ongoing dedication. The executive board extends its sincere gratitude to all our passionate club members. We also thank the local youth volunteers who worked tirelessly under the sun. Your hard work ensures a cleaner and healthier ecosystem for future generations.
The Lions Club of Pokhara Dolphins remains deeply committed to regular climate action. We believe that planting a tree is an investment in the future of our planet. Continuous maintenance transforms small saplings into strong, thriving trees. Together in service, we continue to care for our local environment.
