The Lions Club of Pokhara Dolphins successfully organized its recent community support initiative, the Pokhara Lions Hunger Relief program. Held with the core vision of serving humanity, this food distribution drive aimed to provide immediate nutritional support to underprivileged families and individuals facing hardships in the local community.
Under the guidance of our club leadership, volunteers and board members gathered early to manage the logistics and ensure a smooth distribution process. The club systematically packaged essential grocery items, including rice, lentils, cooking oil, salt, and other daily staples. We ensured that each package could sustain a family for several weeks.
Community Support & Impact
As Lions, our motto is “We Serve.” Tackling food insecurity remains one of our primary global causes. This project was launched in response to the growing need for nutritional security among vulnerable groups in the region, including daily wage laborers and low-income households.
During the event, club members personally handed over the relief packages to the beneficiaries. The smiles and gratitude of the community members served as a powerful reminder of why grassroots volunteerism is so vital. By bridging the gap for those struggling to secure regular meals, the drive created a meaningful, immediate impact on local public welfare.
